Jousif Dlaymi is our agent for the district of San Carlos, which is the major agricultural area of Costa Rica because of the nice climate, flat terrain, and plenty of precipitation. The main export crops grown here are pineapple for export, juice oranges, casava, fruits, timber, and sugar cane for ethanol. Most crops are grown on farms that were formerly pasture and there are still many farms available that could be converted to produce more profitable crops.
